This is my first year at Oasis Academy and my very first year teaching! I’m so excited to be part of the Oasis family! I graduated from UNR with a degree in Elementary Education. I also hold an Early Childhood Education endorsement. I have student taught in a Kindergarten class in Reno and also subbed in various different K-5th grade classrooms. I enjoy spending as much time as I can outside: nature walks, camping, lake activities, skiing (Tahoe is one of my favorite places!) My favorite sport to play is soccer and my favorite sport to watch is football (Go Packers!).

This will be my thirteenth year teaching. I graduated from UNR with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. I also hold an Early Childhood Special Education endorsement. I have taught ECSE, K-2 resource, and 2nd grade.
I never win pie eating contests because they make me giggle. My first question when planning a visit somewhere is, “Do they have a museum?” I am an awful singer, but I don’t let that keep me from singing!
My family and I moved to Fallon from Southern Californiain June 2016 and are loving the small town life. We are a retired military family and have lived in both the San Diego area and Japan over the last 10 years. I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (Emphasis in Education) anda California Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have substitute taught grades K-6, taught grades 4&5 in a combination class, and managed a large group of educators as a lead teacher for Sylvan Learning Center. Some of my interests include traveling, spending time with my family, and anything Disney or Harry Potter. I am so excited to be part of the Oasis Academy family.

This is my 16th year teaching in Churchill County. The past 12 years have been with first graders. My experiences also include teaching special education at the elementary and High School level. I graduated with a bachelors of science in Elementary and Special Education. I love teaching first graders there is never a dull moment. They keep me smiling. A few of my other loves are reading, spending time with my boys and crafts.

Welcome to Oasis Academy! My name is Shannon (Mandic) Garcia. I’m excited to be a member of the Oasis Academy Team. This is my 12th year of teaching in Fallon! 10 years spent teaching 1st grade and this is my 2nd year of teaching math to 1st and 2nd graders. The remainder of my afternoon is spent with my second grade class. I moved to Fallon sight un-seen from Butte, Montana…and what a shocker! I was interviewed and hired by two of my favorite people; Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Rowlett! We continue to work together at OA and spend time together. I enjoy spending time with my three boys: Lewis, Jorge and Antonio! They keep me very busy and we are also active members of the community of Fallon.
“Don’t just teach kids how to count, teach ’em what counts most!”
My name is Anne Bloomfield and I am thrilled to be part of the Oasis Academy Team. I graduated from North Adams State College in North Adams, Massachusetts with a B.S. in Elementary Education in May of 1985 and completed my Special Education Credential from University of California–Riverside in 1991. Over the course of my twenty-seven year teaching career, I have taught first grade through fifth grade and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment!!
Although I grew up in Massachusetts; Fallon, Nevada has been my home for the past seventeen years. My husband and I are proud parents of three boys. I enjoy baking, visits to Lake Tahoe, skiing, Zumba, and of course teaching!
