Week of Sept. 9th-12th

A look to the week ahead…

5th Grade Math: We will be wrapping up Unit 1 with dividing by powers of ten and will complete the Unit 1 assessment on Tuesday, Sept. 10th. We will jump right into Unit 2 with order of operations and the distributive property of multiplication. 

6th Grade Math: This week in math, we will continue to apply properties of multiplication and will begin to investigate properties of division. We are approaching the end of Chapter 1 and will be testing next week on the skills covered throughout the Chapter.

6th Grade Projects: We will continue to investigate concepts about Earth within our solar system. As well as finish our Sun, Moon, Earth models and prepare presentations for Thursday. Our first Project Open House will be Thursday, September 12 at 2:45. If you are available, please feel free to join us for Project Presentations. 

Upcoming School Events:

Wednesday, September 11 – Red, White, and Blue day for a $1 donation.Proceeds go to OA Family Engagement Committee.

Thursday, September 26 – PJammin’ for Cancer for a donation in any amount. Proceeds go to Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation.
