Last week we finished our erosion study with our hands on project which tested the effects of water on a hillside both with and without vegetation. Thank you for sending the supplies and hopefully your child didn’t come home too muddy! See pictures below.
This week in projects we will revisit our geography unit to examine population distribution across Nevada. We will spend the next two weeks finding similarities and differences between rural, suburban, and urban areas, as well as different industries that contribute to Nevada’s economy.
In writing we plan to add details, transitions, and finalize the conclusion in our volcano writings. We will also break up our volcano writing by preparing students for the upcoming SBAC testing. Please see dates below and stay tuned for announcements regarding testing.
These weeks are just flying by y’all! Only 6 weeks of school left… and they are bitter-sweet! I am savoring each day with my students, who now each hold a very special place in my heart.
