Week 27, March 9-12

March 8, 2020 by Kim Sorensen & Rebecca Farley

We have 4 school days before spring break… and a lot of learning is still going on!

In projects last week, students enjoyed their own cookie erosion activity. We also took a trip to the park to perform an experiment to see how different amounts of vegetation affect erosion. This week we will begin our How Wheels unit. Students always look forward to playing with the cars and tracks while getting hands on learning about potential and kinetic energy. We will continue this unit after spring break as well.

In writing last week, our class enjoyed our Royal Reading (see pictures on previous post) and began discussing ideas and topics for our first informative masterpiece. This week students will research a volcano of their choice and discover subtopics for their first masterpiece.

  • 3/16-3/19- SPRING BREAK (school resumes 3/23)
