Summer Reading / End of Year

June 3, 2019 by Julie Stockard

Summer Reading Assignment for this year’s 9th graders: read one book at your level – student’s choice. Write a review on the school blog of the book. All reviews should include the title, author, and genre in the first sentence, a brief summary of the book, including main character names and the major conflict. Don’t give away the ending, but include the author’s purpose and intended audience for the book in your review.

This year’s 8th graders reading assignment is to complete the online health class for high school.

9th and 10th graders this week are engaged in their cross-curricular projects. Ninth graders are working in teams to create travel brochures and tenth graders are creating budgets with a random job in a US city. They are making a blog of their life focusing on expenses, budgeting, and personal finance. All students will receive grades for this project in all classes.

Last day of school is bowling at Oasis Bowl on Taylor Street in Fallon. Cost is $5.00, drop off at 8:00 am and pick students up at 12:00.  Have a great summer!
