Thursday, Oct. 31 – Students can wear costumes to school. See informational email for all the info. We will have class competitions for the best costumes!
Spelling Club begin Monday, Nov. 4 from 4:15-5:15! OA students have the opportunity compete for a school championship who then compete at Regionals. I hope to see many 8th graders competing!
8th Grade Class Party this Thursday, Oct. 31st in the afternoon! Please see the SignUp Genius link (email coming) that will allow you to sign up to send in snacks and treats for our party. Thank you in advance for the goodies!
8th Grade Caroling is December 18th 5-8pm. This is SUCH a fun time! Mark your calendars.
7th Math: We will finish the last half of our unit on linear equations this week and will test next week. Homework this weekend was the ODDS on the back page of the paper practice.
Homework: M – 5.2 book; T – 5.3 book; W – 5.4 book; Th -TBD
8th Math: Students will demonstrate knowledge of systems of linear equations by creating a project this week. Parents are invited to view the finished projects next Monday, Nov. 4th from 9:00-9:45am!
Homework: none – project will be completed in class
8th Projects: We are continuing our unit on ecosystems. Students are building knowledge that will help them create an endangered species conservation plan that could be presented to Congress. We will begin the project sometime next week.
