Mrs. Renfroe’s class 1/21/19

January 21, 2019 by Natalie Lane

Time is flying in projects! Last week student’s constructed telephones using a variety of materials. They then had to test how effective their phone was. The class then worked on creating a light wave using sticks, tape and candy dots. They enjoyed sampling the candy during this activity! Our class was asked to demonstrate their phones and light wave project to both 1st grade classes. The class then split into groups and helped each 1st grade class construct their own telephones. All of the 8th graders did an amazing job helping out the younger kids. I was very proud of all of them! Attached below are pictures from our various activities from last week as well as our Catch Me Jar winner. Well done!

We will be wrapping up our unit on waves this week. Students will have their final vocabulary test for this unit on Wednesday (1/23) .

Reminders: P.E. Logs and missing work/redo’s are due by tomorrow 1/22/19. All grades will be entered into the Infinite Campus system by Friday. Report Cards will be printed out next week. Please contact me with any questions/concerns you may have. Have a wonderful week!
