Hello First Grade Families,
I hope everyone is healthy and doing well despite the new circumstances we are under. Secondly, thank you all for being so great about coming to the school and picking up the necessary items. Because information is changing frequently, the purpose of this blog is to touch base with our families. Plus, it just feels normal to send out a blog at the beginning of the week and normal is a good feeling when so much around us is new.
The staff is getting trained this morning, Monday, March 23rd, on our digital components. On Tuesday, after I have more detailed information, I will be sending out the schedule and other important information. On Wednesday, March, 25th, we will begin our online distance learning. The first grade teachers put together packets with review work for your child to work on. We will also be sending links for science lessons, art activities, mindfulness activities, and exercise items.
I will be in contact with you and your child each week. I am excited to reconnect with students this week and we are up for the new challenges that lie ahead. Please know that your patience is appreciated during this transition to “virtual learning”. If you have any concerns or questions please don’t hesitate to email me.
I have missed all those first grade smiles and hugs and am looking forward to when we are able to return to the classroom again. In the mean time we will work together to make learning optimal during these uncertain times.
