Happy last week of school before winter break! 🙂

Please remember that on Thursday students will fill each other’s stockings. If possible, please send in 24 inexpensive items to put in them (candy canes, homemade crafts, chocolates, anything goes!

We will watch a movie this Thursday, December 19th in the afternoon. More details to come as soon as the kids decide what they want to see! It will be a holiday movie, rated G or PG for sure.

8th grade parents and students: This Wednesday night is our 8th grade caroling event. Student MUST have the permission slip signed and turned in to participate. Please remember to bring a $5 wrapped gift without a name on it for our Greedy Gift Grab game. Of course, this is optional. No gag gifts, please!

7th Grade Writing– Students will finish their argumentative essays and turn them in by Thursday. We will also focus on grammar skills such as parallel structure and dangling modifiers.

8th Grade Reading–Students will take the MAPS test in both reading and language. This will take Tuesday and Wednesday. In between, we will continue with Two Miserable Presidents

8th Grade Writing–Focus on grammar and journal writing

Projects–We will finish up our study of genetics and take a quick vocabulary and content test. The kids will be ready for both of these, and I’m confident they will all do well!
