December 11th

December 11, 2018 by Natalie Lane

Our class finished their Rube Goldberg machines on Thursday last week. Thank you to everyone that was able to stop by and check out the presentations! Everyone did an amazing job on their machines and I am very proud of their hard work!

Our new lesson was introduced today. The focus will be on electric and magnetic forces. The students did a fun lab activity in class today using bags of iron and various magnets to conduct experiments and learn more about magnetism. Students received new vocabulary words yesterday and will be having a test next Wednesday (19th) on them.

We will be having a class party on Thursday, December 20th during our projects block. The class has voted to have various games and activity stations set up instead of watching a movie. Please click on the sign up genius link to volunteer! . If you volunteer to help out in our classroom that day, please be sure to check with the front office that you are cleared to do so. They will be able to tell you if you have satisfied their in class volunteer requirements and background check process. The class also voted to do a class gift exchange. Please have your student bring in a wrapped gift the day of the party. Please keep the price range for the gift exchange between $5 to $8 dollars.

Our class catch me jar winner from last week is shown below. She was recognized for going above and beyond in the classroom. Well done!

  • Vocabulary test Wednesday, December 19th
  • Class party Thursday, December 20th.
  • Winter break (NO SCHOOL), December 24th-January 6th. Return to school January 7th.

As always please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns or comments. Have a wonderful week!
