Lab and Simulation Activities! (Pictures)

We had a busy week leading up to break. Students created electromagnet’s during a lab and had fun trying to find the best way to form a strong connection. One group was successful in creating a magnet with a battery that was able to hold over 30 paperclips! Our class was able to do a simulation activity with Mr. Kelly as well. December 17th-20th

Good morning!!! It is our last week of school before Winter Break, and we have a lot going on! Students will be finishing up our lesson on Electricity and Magnetism. December 11th

Greetings! Our class finished their Rube Goldberg machines on Thursday last week. Thank you to everyone that was able to stop by and check out the presentations! Everyone did an amazing job on their machines and I am very proud of their hard work!  Our new lesson was introduced today. The focus will be on electric and magnetic forces. The students did a fun lab activity in class today using bags of iron and various magnets to conduct experiments and learn more about magnetism....

November 30th Update

Hello Bighorns! It was another busy week of building in projects. The students are finishing up their simple machines and will begin finalizing their machines, presentations and speeches at the beginning of next week. November 15th

Hello! Students have been working like crazy on their simple machine projects! It has definitely been more difficult than they were expecting. I am very proud of all of the kids. They have worked so hard on the building of their machines, have communicated efficiently and respectfully with other group members, and have made some amazing creations. Greetings! I have attached the original conference email that was sent out a few weeks ago, and that has also been posted on the blogs.
