staff  3rd - 5th Grade

  • Mrs. Luyt

    • 3rd grade

This is my second year of teaching. I previously taught first grade at a charter school in Peoria, Arizona. I enjoy teaching and feel honored to be a part of your child's life. We recently moved to Fallon from the Dallas, Texas area, and we already feel at home in this community. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, doing projects around the house, and spending time with my husband and three boys. I am excited to part of the Oasis Academy!

    • 4th grade

I taught a 3rd/4th grade accelerated program back in Chicago for 6 years, and then taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade math here at Oasis when we opened in 2011. I love working with this age of children!

    • 4th grade

I have taught students in grades 1 through 12 and also worked for the University of Michigan for two years as a teacher trainer, facilitating science outreach throughout the state. In addition, I taught high school science while serving in the Peace Corps in the Fiji Islands.

  • Mrs. Neal

    • 4th grade

This is my 5th year teaching here at Oasis Academy. I started out teaching 2nd grade and last year I switched to 4th grade, which means I have taught 1st-5th grade math (good thing I love math!). I have my dual BA in elementary and special education and my MS in teaching mathematics. While I absolutely love reading and writing, I have a passion for teaching math. Being able to help students understand, really UNDERSTAND math is one of my favorite things.

  • Mrs. Duarte

    • 5th grade

I have been in education for 19 years, encompassing positions as a classroom teacher, mentor teacher, and school administrator. I hold a M.A. in Interdisciplinary Education from Santa Clara University and a School Administrator Credential. I am passionate about building relationship with individual students to ensure their academic and social emotional growth. It is a joy to be a part of the amazing Oasis Academy staff!

  • Mrs. Hyde

    • 5th grade

Howdy! My name is Nicole Hyde! I have been at Oasis for four years and I love the wonderful community we have here. I made Fallon my home almost 23 years ago after marrying my husband who is a native to Fallon. We have four wonderful children and one grandchild. This is my first year teaching 5th grade and am so excited! I enjoy this age of students and watching them learn and grow!

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.
